The Photographer
I'm a retired ophthalmologist – an eye surgeon.
For as long as I can recall, I've loved taking pictures. When I was about 11 years old, my parents gave me their Argus C3. Most of my photos were in B&W, and I was fascinated with trying new ideas & techniques in photography!
I was also captivated by the ‘science’ of photography; an interest that greatly contributed to my decision to choose Ophthalmology as a medical specialty.
I've traveled extensively with the U.S. Navy for over 30 years. After living on both coasts of the USA, plus Hawaii, Guam, and London – I’ve settled in the Washington, DC area.
I find beauty in many things -- landscapes, waterfalls, old buildings, flowers, inanimate objects, textures, colors, and forms. I'm always mesmerized by the way light plays on trees and across the landscape.
I hope you find my photographs interesting and enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking them!
